Director and Founder of Creator Tech with over 20 years experience in the ICT industry. He has achieved a consistently high record of sales growth and built numerous successful sales teams in many markets across the globe.

Prior to Creator Tech, Steve worked for Nortel Networks as Business Development Director developing business models and training teams to articulate value propositions to Enterprise Clients.Prior to Nortel, Steve spent 10 years working in Asia for both Cisco Systems and Racal Plc (now Thales) prior to moving to Australia in 2001.

During his 6 years at Cisco, starting as Channel Director for Asia Pacific, Steve developed the channel and distribution business and launched Cisco’s first web-enabled Demand Chain Management system in the region. He also planned and led the business development strategy for the mobile market and formed successful alliances with major Telco’s across the region.

Frank ZeichnerFrank Zeichner
Frank has been working in the telecommunications industry, in Australia and overseas, for the last 25 years, the last ten as a senior executive. He has deep management experience built on strong technical knowledge ranging from business planning, sales management and marketing through to systems engineering and network operations. Frank has been heavily involved in most aspects of the telecommunications industry including the technologies, regulation, standards, operation, development, distribution, sales and manufacture.

Some of Frank’s key appointments in the last 10 years have been: VP, Asia Pacific for S2Net, an Australian OSS Inventory Vendor, COO and Acting CEO of Open Telecommunications, Sales and Marketing Director, Alcatel Australia, VP, Sales and Marketing, Alcatel Data – EMEA, Alcatel Global Account Director for BT, Account Director, Telstra.

John Hallis
John is a seasoned communications professional focused on increasing productivity, reducing operational expenditure, building and maintaining strategic customer relationships and developing innovative technology leadership for increased revenue, profitability and competitive differentiation. Most recently John has built the operations group for Tyro Payments, transitioning this world first specialised credit card institution from an engineering-focused company to a fully operational commercial bank.

John has extensive global experience in telco operational support systems and 3G IT products, applications and infrastructure. Most notably John spent 8 years at Cisco Systems, building and leading its technical services organisation for the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

John has a thorough understanding of Japanese, Asian, European and American business cultures, He is goal-oriented and customer focused with a proven record of consistently meeting and exceeding aggressive financial and operational goals

Peter M PainPeter Pain
Peter has extensive experience in the ICT, Aviation and Utility Automation industries and has been working in association with Creator Tech since 2002. Peter has worked with Creator Tech on business development roles with Telco suppliers in Australia.Peter was instrumental in seeking an alternative direct distribution channel for a major Telco and most recently developed a successful business platform with four mobile infrastructure operators for a startup.

Peter’s ICT experience span across a variety of roles including fibre transmission, long haul and metro WDM, cabling, switching, microwave and short haul digital radio networks, GSM mobile phone networks and applications of video monitoring across WiFi and 3G mobile networks. This experience has been gained working in Asia and Australia where Peter has worked for major corporations including; Rockwell International, HP, Burroughs, and Megadata prior to him operating his own consulting business.

Yeow-Khoon Pua
Yeow Khoon Pua (WinCE)Yeow-Khoon joined Creator Tech in late 2007 and brings to the team a wealth of experience in business management, sales, systems engineering, IT security, call centre, networks and telecommunications along with sound project and migration management skills.

Prior to joining Creator Tech, Yeow-Khoon worked in various senior management positions for major corporations including; BEW Global Systems, Iverson Computer Associations, Cisco Systems and IBM as well as smaller IT organisations .

During his time at Cisco Systems, Yeow-Khoon spearheaded the organisation into the telecommunications market in Singapore and tripled revenue within two years.

With impeccable inter-personal skills and his diverse experience, Yeow-Khoon has also spent some time during his career coaching and mentoring IT staff to help them develop their skills and achieve individual and organisation goals. Whilst coaching for a major insurance company, there was a 50% reduction in IT staff turnover and increased staff acceptance of organisational changes.

Marta DuncanMarta Duncan
Marta has over 20 years experience in IT marketing working in senior roles within major blue chip companies including; Avaya, Hitachi, Vigil Tech, Hewlett Packard as well as running her own small marketing business for 9 years which she has grown into a $3 million business in a very short period of time.

Her experience spans across strategic marketing, marcoms, event management, brand and product management, advertising, direct marketing, database management and below the line promotions. She has worked in both Asia Pacific regional roles in addition to Australian roles.

Through Marta’s contribution, Creator Tech is now able to provide clients with full strategic marketing support in addition to technical and sales/business development support.

Marta has excellent relationships with key suppliers in the marketing field and is very customer-focused.She is able to maximise a client’s marketing spend with her sound advice, strategic application and commitment to every project that she undertakes.

James WongJames Wong
James has a depth of experience within the technical and sales arena with specific expertise in the GreaterChina (Taiwan, China and Hong Kong) and South East Asia Telecommunications market.

James began his career working at Singapore Telecom in the technical field for over 10 years before he moved across to sales with Racal Electronics Singapore where he began as a Sales Engineer to holding a Regional Manager’s position 5 years later.

James’ commercial success led him to join Cylink Corporation as General Manager for the Asia Pacific operation in 1995 where he grew the business to more than $2.5million within 12 months.

When Cylink was acquired in 2002, James decided to move countries and helped set up a leading ISP in Indonesia where he was instrumental in signing a number of deals with prestigious clients including Leighton,Rio Tinto, Panin Life and Kawan Lama.

In 2005, James set up his own consultancy company in China where he now currently resides. James is well connected throughout Greater China and South East Asia and is fluent in Mandarin,Cantonese, English, Bahasa Indonesia and Thai. He provides Creator Tech with a solid presence in China.

Peter Mortimer
Pete Mortimer has 24 years experience in the ICT industry across the world, with a large amount of time working in Europe and Asia Pacific. Pete’s experience combines strong end to end solutions design/technology/integration background with business development, account management, project management, product management, marketing and business management capability to provide a rounded, common sense business professional.

Pete has been at the forefront of some major network transformation projects for key telco operators around the globe, covering DSL access networks, fibre to the home, triple play, PSTN replacement, next generation service delivery platforms and  interactive multimedia services. More recently, Pete has been focussed on the mission critical communications needs of the vertical industries such as Rail, Roads, Power Utilities (and in particular Smart Grid applications), Civil Defence, Military defence, Oil and Gas and smart communities.

Pete’s last appointment saw him developing and transforming a Pan Asia-Pacific business to address the vertical industries including achieving significant market growth (>60%), management of the APAC pre-sales team, design and implementation of a number of internal business processes and  managing internal organisation changes.

Stephan WagnerStephan Wagner
Stephan is an Associate for Creator Tech and has well rounded experience across sales team leadership, bid management; cross functional inter and intra company negotiations; presentations and communications with technical, legal, product, operations and senior executive staff.Stephan has created significant business success in sales management roles in the Telco industry. He provided leadership in enabling multi-million dollar benefits in areas of complex business-to-business sales, IT & T solutions, new business development and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Creator Tech, Stephan held various senior management positions at Telstra, Cisco, Nokia and Optus and various engineering roles at Alcatel, the CSIRO and the Australian Army.

During his career with Telstra, Stephan successfully established and led a team and grew the Telstra Wholesale business into non-traditional markets by providing innovative solutions along with pre-sales support for all wholesale service provider customers.

At Cisco, Stephan was instrumental in establishing Cisco as the first choice for IP technology and service solutions into and through Optus by providing strategic account team management across all aspects of the relationship.

More recently, Stephan successfully commenced in 2005, grew to a $2M pa turnover and sold in Sep 2009, his own retail business. Leading 10 staff, the Telstra Licensed Shop in Bowral has been serving the consumer & business (Telstra Business Accreditation) markets of the Southern Highlands.

Michael Montgomery
Michael Montgomery has over twenty years experience in the Telecommunications Industry. He has worked in various roles including – business unit manager, sales, marketing, product management, channel management and project management. These roles have been with vendors and service provider organizations that include:

  • Telstra
  • Datacraft Technologies Ltd
  • Fujitsu Australia Ltd
  • Australian Communications Consortium Ltd
  • Tadiran Telecom

Within these companies Michael as been involved in the marketing and sales of wide range of solutions and products. These have included:

  • Network data services to large businesses and enterprises
  • Customer premises router and data terminal devices
  • Telecommunications network switching and transmission infrastructure equipment and associated management systems
  • Customer premises voice and unified communications systems and associated enterprise voice applications

Overall Michael’s experience in the industry provides him with strong business management, marketing and sales capabilities and a sound technical understanding of services, products and solutions across the full spectrum of the industry.

Garry HenleyGarry Henley  – Associate
Garry has over 16 years experience in the ICT industry at senior management level with particular expertise in the acquisition and integration of companies in both start-up and large corporate environments. With strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, Garry has a natural talent for effectively restructuring management teams and organisation structures whilst continuing to grow businesses through periods of change and uncertainty.

A large part of Garry’s career has been at CEO level with Alphawest (8th largest ICT service business in Australia) where he was instrumental in the sale of the company to Optus Business in 2005. Post integration, Garry continued as CEO and grew the business over a two year period from 550 to 800 staff and from initial combined revenues of $190m to $300m in two years.

An electronics engineer by trade, Garry began his career in technical management and then moved into general management/sales and marketing roles at Network Solutions, Integral Solutions and Alphawest when it was a Western Australian based only company.

As Managing Director of Alphawest (Western Australia), Garry grew the organisation through acquisition and then sold the company to Solution6 in 2000. Post 2000, Garry expanded the business from a WA and Victoria based business to a national business whilst also moving the company into information management. In 2003, Garry initiated a management buy-out from Solution6 and successfully listed on the Australian Stock Exchange as Alphawest Limited.

Helen Bouropoulos
Helen is a recognised senior product strategist and marketer with over 12 years experience in the field of communications technology. Combining strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen, Helen offers the unique ability of translating technical concepts in to customer propositions, through a deep understanding of the technology, customer needs, market drivers and commercial imperatives.

Helen’s skills have been honed through a series of senior product positions within Telstra and Optus. These roles have encompassed product strategy and portfolio management, capital driven product management, portfolio lifecycle management, integrated campaign planning and execution, and general management. This experience has spanned all market segments, from enterprise and wholesale to consumer.

In her most recent roles, Helen has directed the design, development and launch of speculative and highly complex new mobile and wireless data services, as well as increasing market share and customer retention of established products.
