Prior to Creator Tech, Steve worked for Nortel Networks as Business Development Director developing business models and training teams to articulate value propositions to Enterprise Clients. Prior to this, Steve spent 10 years working in Asia for both Cisco Systems and Racal Plc (now Thales) prior to moving to Australia in 2001.
During his 6 years at Cisco, starting as Channel Director for Asia Pacific, Steve developed the partnership network and launched Cisco’s first web-enabled Demand Chain Management system in the region. He also planned and led the business development strategy for the mobile market and formed successful alliances with major Telco’s across the region.
Frank has been working in the telecommunications industry, in Australia and overseas, for the last 30 years, the last ten as a senior executive. He has deep management experience built on strong technical knowledge ranging from business planning, sales management and marketing through to systems engineering and network operations.
Frank has been heavily involved in most aspects of the telecommunications industry including the technologies, regulation, standards, operation, development, distribution, sales and manufacture.
Prior to Creator Tech, Frank’s key roles included VP, Asia Pacific for S2Net, an Australian OSS Inventory Vendor, COO and Acting CEO of Open Telecommunications, Sales and Marketing Director, Alcatel Australia, VP, Sales and Marketing, Alcatel Data – EMEA, Alcatel Global Account Director for BT, Account Director, Telstra.
Yeow-Khoon joined Creator Tech in late 2007 and brings to the team a wealth of experience in business management, sales, systems engineering, IT security, call centre, networks and telecommunications along with sound project and migration management skills.
Prior to joining Creator Tech, Yeow-Khoon worked in various senior management positions for major corporations including; BEW Global Systems, Iverson Computer Associations, Cisco Systems and IBM as well as smaller IT organisations .
During his time at Cisco Systems, Yeow-Khoon spearheaded the organisation into the telecommunications market in Singapore and tripled revenue within two years. With impeccable inter-personal skills and his diverse experience, Yeow-Khoon has also spent some time during his career coaching and mentoring IT staff to help them develop their skills and achieve individual and organisation goals. Whilst coaching for a major insurance company, there was a 50% reduction in IT staff turnover and increased staff acceptance of organisational changes.
Andrew joined the Creator Tech team in April 2012 and brings with him a wealth of sales experience in various areas of the telecommunications industry. Based in and around Asia for the 10 years prior to emigrating to Australia, Andrew has worked in Sales and Marketing roles for companies offering Tier-1 operators a range of products and services from software development and systems integration to network infrastructure and consumer hardware. He has previously held positions in Research in Motion (BlackBerry), Starhome Mach and Syniverse Technologies.
With an engineering background and an in-depth knowledge of both the technical aspects of mobile telephony and commercial aspects of GSM roaming, he has been responsible for the sale of network VAS systems and inter-carrier settlement services to mobile operators across South East Asia, Middle East and Australia/New Zealand.
In 2011, Andrew was responsible for handset sales of the BlackBerry 7 product range through the joint design and execution of go-to-market strategies with SingTel’s and Globe Telecom’s Consumer and Enterprise teams in Singapore and The Philippines.
Geof Heydon has worked in communications as an executive leader, consultant, mentor and evangelist/futurist Business Developer and in Sales. From the mid nineties he has been developing the market across Asia Pacific for broadband solutions. Most recently at CSIRO as Director, Business Development Manager for the Information Sciences Group, he lead a sales an BD team commercialising CSIRO IP. In 2013 he was an advisor and contributor to the Federal Government’s National Digital Economy white paper.
As Director Broadband Marketing at Alcatel Australia in 2002, he led a team that developed a landmark paper outlining the converged market landscape in 2020. He also managed the establishment of Innovation Central, Alcatel’s demonstration and incubation facility in Sydney that played a major role in convergence and IPTV strategy globally.
As Asia Pacific head of marketing at Alcatel-Lucent in 2008, he led a region-wide team consulting and marketing to major telecommunications carriers and cable TV operators on convergence and the future service and business models underpinned by broadband.
In 2013 Geof was a founding committee member of the AIIA Telecommunications SIG; and also sits on the Australian Computer Society’s Telecommunications board.
Jon has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors gained over a career spanning more than 25 years. Most recently he was CEO of an Australian publicly listed software vendor, Clarity OSS Limited, where he successfully managed the restructuring and subsequent significant growth of the business, ultimately resulting in an sale to a major industry player.
Prior to Clarity Jon ran a number of private Australian technology businesses, gaining experience in areas such as interconnect and content billing and emergency telephones and help points for high noise environments. He had overall responsibility for strategy development and execution and also worked at a boutique technology investment bank. Before moving to Australia Jon ran a Toronto listed investment fund focusing on investment opportunities in Poland. As CEO he was responsible for investments into and exits from a number of businesses, including establishing and growing Poland’s largest cable TV operator.
Throughout his career Jon has been actively involved in mergers and acquisitions, both within private and public companies, and brings a great deal of corporate finance experience in different regulatory and geographical environments.
Jon holds a BSc in Physics, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Simon has over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. He used to work for several international companies such as Motorola, IBM, and Cisco Systems in the systems engineering and sales/marketing positions. He also worked for a major semiconductor company in Taiwan as the Director of Business Development for many years.
Simon has an adventurous nature and excells at promoting new ideas, concepts and technologies. He was credited for introducing the “country first” IBM ThinkPad, IBM PC Server in the Taiwan market and was responsible for the successful closures of the first Cisco 6509 Catalyst Switch and the first Broadband ADSL service for the Chunghwa Telecom.
Simon was assigned by Cisco Systems in 2001 to develop an SI partner in China for network services and supports. The company has now grown to become the largest SI partner in China with more than 110 CCIEs, – an indispensable business partner for Cisco Systems in both the Enterprise and Service Provider segments.
Sung-Gon Jang has over 20 year of experience in the ICT industry. He worked as an engineer for 5 years at a communications equipment manufacturer and a SI firm, mainly on transmission equipment, testing and installation of broadcasting system, and preparation of business proposals. Sung-Gon later worked for 12 years at Telecommunication service providers LGU+ and SK Broadband, and spent 9 years working in the fields of IP, transmission, telephone exchange, network design for optical equipment, and installation and operation of network systems.
Among many projects, Simon successfully helped to establish the backbone network for HDTV service of a Korean broadcasting company KBS, the largest Korean bank Kookmin Bank, Supreme Court of Korea, and Korea Meteorological Administration.
Recently Sung-Gon has served as a country manager for Korean office of Force10 Networks, and went on to work as manager for Japanese and Korean offices of MPX Technology. During this time, he mostly worked on project development of some 40 solutions in the areas of mobile service, VoIP, IP, security, transmission and sub-systems.
Ee Lin has over 20 years experience in the ICT industry. He has worked in the start-ups, as well as fortune 500 companies. He was instrumental in setting up sales operations for several US corporations in Asia Pacific, and had won numerous sales achievement global awards.
Ee Lin started his career as a Producer/Director with the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation. After being headhunted by Avid Technology, Ee Lin led the regional operation into market leader in digital media technology within 4 years. In 1997, Ee Lin joined WebLine Communications /Cisco Systems as the regional director, performing sales, marketing, business and channel development roles. Later, Ee Lin was the regional managing consultant with Hewlett Packard Consulting Asia Pacific and BEW Global, specialised in contact centre, CRM, information asset, data protection and network security consulting and solutions.
James has more than 30 year of working experience in the ICT industry. He started his career in Singapore Telecom (now SingTel) and moved on to companies specializing in data communications, data security and video conferencing technologies where he held regional sales management positions in APAC and ASEAN.
In between his employment tenures with three MNCs headquartered in the US, James lived in Indonesia for 2 years when he was managing a newly set up ISP. He subsequently set up his own company in Dalian China and marketed training and consultancy services for a Singapore-based organization. During his 6 years in China, James was engaged with Creator Tech as a consultant and successfully completed a number of projects for clients in the telecoms and test & measurement equipment industries.
Jon has recently joined the Creator Tech team to head the Philippines practice (Manila – Makati).
Jon is multi-lingual executive (MBA) with over 25 years of China and South East Asia Regional experience. Jon possesses direct Asian experience for products including Electronic Components/ ICT Enterprise Software/ IT Security Software and Telecommunications hardware and software.
He has expertise in outsourced Sales Management, Direct Sourcing, Purchasing, Inspections and Quality Control, Counterfeit Detection/ Prevention, Marketing and Logistics. Jon has helped the top tier Electronic Component Distributors such as Avnet, Arrow, Future and America II among others to mitigate risk and contamination of counterfeit product into the supply chain in Asia.
Jon’s most recent position was 8 years as General Manager of ChipChecker Ltd., an independent electronic component distributor managing Southeast Asian Sales, Marketing, Purchasing operations based in Shenzhen (Futian), China.
Prior to Chipchecker Ltd., Jon has worked for Yipes Communications, the first Gigabit-Ethernet provider in North America. Previously he worked for Verisign, Vidius, Cyberguard and Racal–Datacom Plc. Jon speaks Mandarin Chinese and is conversant in Japanese.
